KUHN has introduced its customers to the
KUHN VB 3160 balers, which ensure optimal feed of plant material.
A wide mass-capturing mechanism ensures maximum adaptation to the ground thanks to a swinging mechanism, allowing operation in the most challenging conditions with all types of rolls.
"All VB 3160 balers feature patented integrated rotor technology. This simple plant material feed system, which requires no maintenance, ensures enormous throughput under any conditions. The small distance between the rotor and the picking tines ensures ideal mass flow to the baler. This forced-feed design provides higher forward speed to ensure maximum productivity and reduce mass damage," the company's statement says.
The design of the bale chamber of the VB 3160 balers with five belts and three rollers ensures quick and consistent formation of bales with all mass picking systems. The aggressive profile of the upper chamber roller improves contact with the mass and reduces its losses. The front segment of the baler is equipped with a large smooth roller and a cleaning roller to prevent mass clogging and machine contamination.
KUHN's innovative design allows for constant mesh tension during the binding process. Mesh binding is carried out at 90% of the bale rotation speed to ensure the required mesh tension without breaking. After the bale chamber, the bale does not expand, thus maintaining its density. The mesh binding system ensures excellent mesh distribution over the entire bale surface, even on the side surfaces, preventing the formation of air pockets and improving feed quality.
The key to achieving the productivity expected from KUHN equipment is interfaces. The balers are equipped with modern CCI 800 terminals with an ISOBUS system, ensuring convenience for all operators.
