You don't need anything else if you have the BEDNAR OMEGA universal seeder

Maksym, a sales representative from Titan Machinery Ukraine, came to us - says Oleksandr Mykolayovych Lavrynenko, director of the farm. - He told me that there is a seeder in good condition. I went, looked, liked the quality, and was quite satisfied with the price. They took out a loan under the "5-7-9%" program at Oschadbank. And when we were approved for a loan on Tuesday, the next day we already had the planter and went to work in its first season. I consider the first stairs to be chic - the stairs, layout, and landing are uniform. Even though we sowed barley in very unfavorable conditions - it was very wet. But the seeder worked perfectly, there were no problems with clogging.

In its first season, the seeder has already sown crops such as barley, oil radish, and soybeans, and it is planned to sow wheat in the fall. The practice has shown that in times of limited resources and lack of people, such a planter significantly saves time and money. 

Two days with smoke breaks and sleep at night - and the sowing is completed, we are free - Oleksandr Mykolayovych continues. - Saves time and money a lot. On other seeders, the sowing was stretched out, but here there is time to sow for yourself and your neighbors. We have a seeder 6 meters wide, this is already an area. In one day per shift, we calmly do 60 hectares. High productivity is also important for the uniformity of seedlings, for subsequent treatment with herbicides and other operations, so that the plants are in the same phase throughout the field. This is especially noticeable in large fields. It is better to do everything quickly, efficiently and put it in storage. She will continue to serve like this.

• Disc section: X-shaped, with serrated or aggressive discs with a diameter of 460 × 5 mm, perfectly shreds, and mixes plant remains with the soil.
• Pneumatic tire rollers: the offset (offset) location of the rolling wheels ensures high possibility even in wet conditions. A roller with wide wheels levels and compacts the soil in front of the seed colters.
• Seeding section consists of two-disc offset colters mounted on a parallelogram to perfectly follow the topography of the field. The row spacing is 12.5 or 16.7 cm.
• Two-chamber plastic hopper with a volume of 5000 l: works under excess pressure, which allows you to work with any norms and increases the accuracy of sowing.
• The unique combination of the front equipment - the leveling bar Crushbar and tire FrontPack roller level the field, destroy large clods, and prepare the soil.

We were running on a free GPS signal. But in all cases, the crop is very high-quality, it leads evenly. The sowing rate is observed. So far, 120 kg/ha has been set for soybeans, taking into account the state of the soil and moisture. With sowing, we apply ammonium sulfate to the row at the rate of 100 kg/ha. Despite the small fraction of crystals, the application rate is maintained - everything is clear. Moreover, the flow sensors are standing.

Nothing is clogged, nothing is stopped. Even among people's gardens, narrow rows were quietly sown. And if it was very wet during the sowing of barley, it was very dry during the sowing of soybeans. This field is after plowing, the clods are dry, there was no rain, and the soil is very loose. But even here the seeder showed itself as best as possible. Due to several rollings, it compacts the soil well. I like the front Crushbar. It perfectly levels the field, while the pressure is regulated by hydraulics from the cabin. Discs break the clod, cut weeds, carrion, and pneumatic rollers compact and level the soil in front of the colters. An interesting little detail is the spreaders behind the castor wheels. At first, I thought that they just took extra money, but when I saw how it all works at speed, I was very satisfied. The ridge formed in the space between the wheels is flattened. It seems like a trifle, but it's good that it is there. And further to the sowing device, the land is level and prepared. The parallelogram suspension is working, sowing clearly according to the specified parameters, and at the end, in addition, a pass with a harrow. The field after such sowing is simply perfect. Our seeder is also equipped with an additional ALFA DRILL seeding device, so in the fall we will try sowing siderata.

The ergonomics of setting up and servicing the planter was a pleasant moment for the company's mechanists. It does not require complex and energy-consuming procedures for its adjustment, calibration, and discharge from residues.

I went behind the planter, calibrated it, then everything works fine, - says Oleksandr Mykolayovych, - and when there are remnants of seeds or fertilizers in the hopper, I also unloaded it from the back into the big bag and "Monita" picked it up. The sowing depth is displayed from the side - there is no need to jump on the planter or climb under it. Everything is simple, clear, and understandable. And so all the settings are set on the monitor in the cabin. Very comfortable.
