The CHALLENGER semi-mounted plow is available in versions from 7 to 12 units for aggregation with tractors from 200 to 500 hp.
The CHALLENGER plow is a solution for high-power tractors and extreme working conditions. Due to the large working width, it has exceptionally high performance.
The rotation angle of 110 ° provides excellent maneuverability and saves time when making turns at the edge of the field.
One of the main advantages of the CHALLENGER line is the strength - the frame section is 220 mm.
Regarding the quality of work: the hinged frame provides perfect copying of surface irregularities to ensure the highest quality plowing.
CHALLENGER semi-mounted plows are available with Safe-T or NSH protection from 7 to 12 housings for aggregation with tractors from 200 to 500 hp. 

Design tested in practice

CHALLENGER semi-mounted plows have a solid front. This unique part provides much greater strength than other plows on the market, as its design eliminates the risk of deformation or loosening. In addition, the solid steel hinge adds strength to the plow due to a single traction line. Traction points are located very low to ensure maximum power transmission and provide better traction when conditions are difficult.
The 220 mm sectional bracket allows the use of very powerful tractors and provides strength throughout the work.

Easy to use

The plows of the CHALLENGER line can be optionally equipped with an adjustable hydraulic displacement mechanism that is suitable for any distance between the tires and which can be adjusted from the operator's workplace. This option allows you to easily adapt to the contours of the field and the available traction power. The wide range of displacement provides an opportunity of retraction of the first case at complication of working conditions. The plow can also operate in "field" mode.
The hinged connection of the frame (optional, hydraulics) provides perfect copying of the soil surface with automatic locking when leaving the furrow. When leaving the furrow, when the front housings are raised, the rear housings remain in the ground at the selected working depth. Zigzags on reversible strips are reduced for better comfort and optimal plowing quality.
The transport suspension protects the plow and the tractor with a hydropneumatic damper, which provides suspension of the entire plow.
To save your time, CHALLENGER settings are performed without tools.

Adaptation to different types of soils

CHALLENGER KUHN offers two protection systems for its semi-mounted plows:
 NSH Hydraulic Continuous Protection: Housing pressure varies depending on depth, speed and working width, soil condition and nature, etc. Adjusting the operating pressure without mechanical intervention prevents stones from being thrown and the plow bodies from "jumping". Increasing or decreasing the outlet pressure of the continuous hydraulic protection device provides an instant return to the ground. Thanks to the NSH device, the parts are completely protected and maintenance is not required.
Protective device Safe-T: the rupture of the rupture bolt occurs after reaching the force on the toe of the ploughshare 4700 kg. This avoids frequent operation of the protection device. Even after many operations, the structure is not deformed. The rupture of the safety bolt is clean and easy to replace.

Plowing "in the field"

The CHALLENGER semi-mounted plow can perform plowing "in the field". The "in the field" version has many advantages:
Better soil holding capacity to limit soil compaction
Less tire wear on rocky ground
Prevent the formation of the plow sole at the bottom of the furrow
The possibility of using very large tires, twin wheels or CHALLENGER tracks in the "field" version can perform plowing in the furrow when conditions are too difficult.

The front depth adjustment wheel is important when plowing "in the field".
