MASTER 153 with a beam of 150 x 150 mm is designed for more intensive use and more difficult working conditions than MASTER 123. With MASTER 153 you can use tractors up to 270 hp. Two options for distances between housings

It is important to choose your plow according to the working conditions - in particular, to the system of cultivation that you follow. In order to better adapt to your working conditions, you can choose different distances between the housings. To do this, consider the following parameters:
large or small is the amount of residues
whether the straw is removed from the field
which is pre-treatment of vegetation cover. On MASTER 153 mounted plows 2 distances between cases are available:
4 and 5 furrows - 102 cm: this distance is recommended for the destruction of living vegetation or for wrapping the bed of pre-shredded remains. In this configuration, the soil flow easily circulates between the two housings while maintaining the optimal position of the plowshares. High quality plowing is maintained, despite the significant amount of residues.
5 and 6 furrows - 96 cm: This is the best compromise to maximize throughput in the presence of a significant amount of residue while maintaining working comfort with a maneuverable plow.

Two working width systems

KUHN offers two cutting width systems: multiple or variable.
MULTI-MASTER 153 plows allow you to work in different widths: 35, 40 and 45 cm (14, 16 or 18 inches). Changing the width is done by mechanical adjustment - simply by changing the bolts on the rods.
Multiple widths are ideal for farmers working in constant conditions with homogeneous soil, uniform plots and relatively flat plots with uniform volumes of crop residues.
VARI-MASTER 153 plows allow you to instantly adjust the cutting width to the working conditions. Changing the cutting width is carried out by hydraulic adjustment from the operator's workplace. A feature of the KUHN VARI-MASTER 153 mounted plows is the full integration of the variable width system into the frame design for optimal mechanism protection. Cutting width can vary from 30 to 50 cm (12-20 inches) depending on the distance between the bodies of your plow. To increase comfort, all plow settings (offset, vertical, working depth, NSH protection pressure) can be carried out from the cab with the help of hydraulics. In uneven working conditions, the operator can adjust the various parameters of the plow on the go, without interrupting plowing.
