TITAN MACHINERY took part in the AGRO 2018 exhibition

06/12/2018

At AGRO 2018 exhibition, TITAN MACHINERY demonstrated an updated Fast 1860 applicator, the most powerful Case IH tractor (600-horsepower Quadtrac), the top sprayer model Case IH (Patriot 4430), the largest Unverferth reloader, the Axial-Flow 9240 powerful caterpillar harvester combine and some farming machinery.

Let’s start with the Axial-Flow 9240 caterpillar harvester combine. This is one of the most powerful combines on the market and the flagship of the series. Axial-Flow 9240 is equipped with a 15.9-litre FPT Cursor 16 (Tier II) engine with 634 hp. capacity. Axial-Flow unique single-rotor threshing and separation technology is a key element of the Case IH combines. Models of the new 240 line received a reinforced rotor ST with a diameter of 762 mm with 72 threshing whips as well as special whips and a cone of reinforced design.

The self-levelling contaminants removal system compensates for a slope of up to 12 % in order to increase power when working on slopes. The contaminants removal area is 8.59 sq. m. Unloading the contents of the hopper with a volume of 14,400 litres takes less than 2 minutes. Moreover, unloading can be carried out even while travelling.

Control of operations is carried out by means of the AFS Pro 700 colour touch screen (sensors of productivity and humidity), installation of an autopilot, system of GPS navigation; mapping is optionally possible.

This is the only combine of its kind which has a reverse inclined chamber, harvester, and rotor reverse. The combine shows itself perfectly under difficult operating conditions thanks to the unique caterpillar drive.

Axial-Flow 9240 is equipped with a MacDon FD140 harvester which allows you to work on all crops; this item in fact replaces three harvesters (can harvest rapeseed, soybeans, and any early crop).

Another flagship novelty is the Fast 1860 applicator for applying liquid fertilizers. Both caterpillar and wheeled versions are available in Ukraine. This year at the Agro-2018 exhibition the most productive version of the unit was presented. The applicator allows you to save about 25 to 30 % on the application of fertilizers, at that due to application into the ground the plant is guaranteed to receive nitrogen which further affects the yield.

By the 2018 season, the applicator received a new bar, a new frame that allows the unit to travel faster, and to make minimum row spacing for early crops of 25 cm.

The next exhibit: self-propelled sprayer Patriot 4430 which is the largest one in the line. The volume of the barrel is 4.5 cubic meters, and the bar is 36 m long.
The arrangement of Patriot sprayers differs in the central placement of a tank for working fluid, provides uniform distribution of loading on the axles independent from the degree of its filling. As a result, the sprayer has exceptional stability without excessive soil compaction.

In order to improve stability of the sprayer and the bar, an active suspension system is used, which automatically responds to the pressure in the suspension of each wheel. The sprayer’s bar also has its own suspension which holds it well at the height specified by the operator and provides protection against sharp vibrations.

This high-performance machine is equipped with spacers to increase ground clearance.

The next flagship novelty is the hopper manufactured by Unverferth American Company. The hopper is capable to take out a crop from the field under the most extreme and severe conditions.

The volume of the hopper is 70 cubic meters which allows you to transport an average 50 to 55 tons of cargo. Unverferth is equipped with a scale that allows you to control the amount of harvest taken out. The hopper is unloaded in just 2 minutes: 1 minute unloading allows discharge of up to 25 tons. Wide and long caterpillars make it possible not to sink or tear the frame. This solution reduces soil compaction compared to the wheeled version no leaves virtually no furrows which then affects the quality of tillage in both autumn and spring.

In addition, the company presented a line of tractors of CASE IH Farmall JX 110, PUMA 210 and 225, Maxxum 125, Magnum 340 as well as Quadtrac 600 caterpillar tractor, tillage machinery of CASE IH True-Tandem 335 VT, Gregoire Besson SPSL B9 12-body plough, and much more.
The original CNH Industrial spare parts and components were presented at a separate exposition.

Also, CASE CE construction machinery 695ST and 580 ST backhoe loaders as well as CX18 mini excavator were presented at the booth.
